The Thrive Initiative

Ryan’s Place is now accepting referrals, applications for employment and enrolling members in our liscensed Day Program facility, The Thrive Initiative, located in Matthews, NC. We chose this name for our mission is to help all of our members thrive and enhance their everyday lives.

The Thrive Initiative will provide a space for adults to develop functional and social skills and give them access to community partnerships and resources to improve their daily services.

The Thrive Initiative will is staffed by credentialed Qualified and Direct Support Professionals who have years of experience working with individuals with I/DD. The Thrive Initative will also be overseen by a team of administrative staff including Ryan’s Place COO and CEO, an Activity Coordinator, Clinical Director and agency RN.

Here is a list of a few of the activities that will be provided to our members;

Music Therapy
Art Therapy
Theraputic Yoga
Community Involvement / Outings on Fridays
E.P.I.C. Member Meet Up Group – a closed group of stakeholders and members to discuss feelings, future plans, relationships and members rights.

As of July 1st 2022, The Thrive Initiative is now OPEN! For individuals who cannot utilize Medicaid services, we do offer a private pay option. The thrive Initiative is willing to work with members who need tailored schedules, as long as staffing supports are available for individual and group needs. Individual or group services will be determined during the referral process with the family to ensure each member’s health and safety. Private pay members will have full access to all of The Thrive Initiative’s activities, schedules and clinical support to help create a meaningful day.
