We advocate for your self-determination as you become a part of your community.

One of the challenges of receiving Intellectual/Developmental Disability services in North Carolina is the long list of individuals on each LME/MCO’s Unmet Needs List.

Many individuals who could benefit from comprehensive home and community-based services remain on this waiting list for years before receiving full funding. Because of this deficit in support, each LME/MCO has a B3 service array to assist individuals who await services under the Innovations Waiver.

Ryan’s Place provides B3 Community Navigator services to I/DD children and adults with Medicaid A/B. Ryan’s Place can serve as a B3 member’s Clinical Home, developing a Person-Centered Plan, assisting with referrals for additional B3 services (including B3 respite, supported employment, and community transition) and other Medicaid and non-Medicaid resources and providers. We strive to ease the burden of navigating the system when full services and support are not in place.
